Motherline Medicine ~ A New Knowing

Updated: Oct 17

From my willingness to know nothing, a new knowing arises.

The seed sprouts.

The radical pushes down into the earth.

Motherline Medicine is a medicine of connection. This medicine heals through connection, cooperation, and congruence.

Motherline Medicine trusts the body. We trust the mitochondria.

We do not make war upon a misbehaving body; we seek to reconnect what has fallen apart, nourish what has fallen away, restore rhythm.

We do not strive to fix a broken body/machine; we acknowledge the psyche's somatic expressions and explore the symbolic signals that lead us to greater integration.

We do not imagine toxins or bad blood, humors out of balance or evil air as the source of our distress; we envision wholeness/health/holiness permeating every cell and vibrating in our mitochondria.

In Motherline Medicine body, mind, and spirit are ranked in reverse order. Instead of spirit being seen as the best, the highest, purest, most desired state, the body is elevated, it predominates. Instead of the body being forced by the mind, controlled by the mind, regulated and repressed by thought, we engage our ability to visualize, trust our subtle senses, and gently ignore fear, paranoia, blame, and confusion.

In short, we embrace ourselves as we are. Instead of working against the body to correct a problem, Motherline Medicine works with the body, through the body, guided by the body, attentive to the body.

My body is part of the earth. I am made of the earth. The earth is my mother. I listen to my body. I sense the energy in my body.

I reconnect myself with myself. I am weighty, solid, present, incarnate, embodied. I am here. I am present. I listen to myself.

I visualize my mitochondria, motherline wisdom active in every cell. What do my mitochondria need? What is their emotional state?

I walk in beauty.

My breath is a giveaway dance.

My heart beats with the earth's rhythm.

Green blessings are everywhere.
